Developments over CC aimed not to allow it make final decision in Kocharyan’s case: attorney
The decision of the Constitutional Court may definitely have impact on the judicial processes of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan and others, Kocharyan’s attorney Hayk Alumyan told the reporters today.
Referring to the situation created over the Constitutional Court, Alumyan said his deep conviction is that the whole process has been initiated not to allow the CC make its decision over Kocharyan’s case.
Asked whether all was done for Robert Kocharyan, Alumyan said, “You know that the CC is examining the application of the Yerevan first instance court of general jurisdiction and Kocharyan’s application relating to Article 300.1 of the Criminal Code. Now everything is being done and it is not a new process, to get rid of the Constitutional Court until the final decision is made on this case,” Alumyan said.
The attorney stressed that it is not a secret that encroachments are being made against state institutions for bringing to responsibility one person at any cost.
