CC judge Alvina Gulumyan says adopted norm does not spread on her
Constitutional Court judge Alvina Gulumyan says the changes adopted yesterday by the Armenian parliament do not affect her.
“This change does not relate to me as my term in this office starts from October 1, 2014,” she told the reporters today.
As to whether she will appeal the decision if it appears that her term in office is also terminated, she said, “This norm does not spread on me. I am convinced that this bill has no relation to me.”
Asked whether the judges can appeal the decision, Gulumyan said, “They will use all the inter-state means and after it will apply to European Court of Human Rights.”
As to whether she will do it personally, Gulumyan said if she is forced to leave she will apply having all the substantiations to go till the end and win.
