Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office applies to Criminal Court of Appeal for arresting PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan
Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office submitted an appeal to the Criminal Court of Appeal to annul the ruling of the first instance court of general jurisdiction to deny the motion of arrest of the PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan, representative from the office told Aysor.am.
On June 21 the court chaired by judge Robert Papoyan rejected the NSS motion to arrest Tsarukyan.
The PAP leader is accused of distributing electoral bribe but does not admit the accusations, describing the criminal case filed against him politically motivated.
On June 16 the parliament voted to strip Tsarukyan of his parliamentary immunity and to deprive him of freedom.
