Yerevan becomes big hearth of coronavirus despite no new mass outbreaks recently: minister
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred at the cabinet sitting today to the growth tempo of coronavirus, stressing that previously they knew that the possible number of infected may be 60,000-100,000.
Health minister Arsen Torosyan said the number of infected is less than 100,000 but added that it is difficult to calculate the number of active infected.
“The spread of the cases among young people is not big but grows with the age,” he said, stressing that in two weeks in Vanadzor the tempo of spread has grown while Yerevan seems to be become a big center of outbreak though mass outbreaks have not been recorded recently.
“We may say that the infection is everywhere, and we must get protected by following the rules,” he said.
