Legislative, executive powers usurp CC powers with the help of group of accomplices: PAP, Hayrenik, ARF-D issue statement
Hayrenik (Homeland), Prosperous Armenia and ARF-D parties issued a statement regarding their report on crime submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
In the statement the parties say that the report is aimed at giving legal assessment to the usurpation of power with the participation of the legislative and executive powers as well as a number of other top officials.
“The actions against the Constitutional Court and its separate judges as well as the actions aimed at usurping the judicial power have launched and continue for over a year aimed at forming obedient majority at the Constitutional Court,” the statement says, adding that the legislative and executive powers with the assistance of a group of high-ranking officials are usurping the powers of the Constitutional Court and are doing it with the abuse of their powers.
“With these actions the accomplices are violating the principle of separation and balancing of powers and in fact even eliminate the description of the Republic of Armenia of being a rule of law state. Taking into consideration that these actions contain features of Article 300 Part 1, Article 300.1 Part 1 and Article 309 Part 1 and being guided by the corresponding articles of Armenia’s criminal legislature it is the commitment of the Prosecutor General’s Office to initiate a criminal case and carry out proper, objective preliminary examination,” the statement said.
