Police should demand necessary medical documents from people not wearing masks in open public territories
Armenia’s vice PM, commandant Tigran Avinyan referred at the cabinet sitting today to the decision allowing people with certain diseases not to wear masks in open territories.
“The decision is agreed with the issues people with chronic respiratory problems face. After consulting with the Ministry of Health a decision has been made to lift the demand of wearing masks for people with certain diseases in open public territories with condition that they will carry with them medical documents confirming the existence of the disease,” he said, adding that the form of the documents have been given to police for them to clearly know what they represent to avoid abuses.
Addressing chief of the police Vahe Ghazaryan, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the police should not consider not wearing masks permissible based on only oral claims.
