Extension of state of emergency for 4th time must be signal for greater vigilance: commandant
The extension of state of emergency for already fourth time must be a signal for greater vigilance, vice Prime Minister of Armenia, commandant Tigran Avinyan said at the special parliament sitting today.
“The risks that are the basis for lifting the state of emergency in the country are not neutralized yet. The epidemiological situation remains alarming but controllable. We hope there will be no other necessity to extend the state of emergency in future,” he said.
Avinyan said currently they are viewing possibility of legislative changes for ensuring sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population in the emergency situations.
He also said that currently the number of infected in Armenia reached 31,151 of which 1,530 are getting treatment.
“The number of recovered reached 20,000, number of deaths 573. Other 546 people are in grave condition, 111 in extremely grave. Forty-three patients are on ventilation, 10,000 are recovering in home conditions,” Avinyan said.
