Provocations will not remain without response: Armenia’s PM calls for unconditional support to Armenian Armed Forces
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred at the special cabinet sitting today to the provocative actions organized by the Azerbaijani side on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“The provocative actions are strictly condemnable, today in the morning they were resumed,” Pashinyan said.
He added that the Azerbaijani military-political leadership will bear the full responsibility for the consequences of destabilization in the region.
“Turkey’s actions to provoke the regional instability raises serious worries and is well reflected in the official statement of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of that country in which they express unconditional support to the actions of Azerbaijan,” he said.
The head of the government said for a considerable period of time the Azerbaijani side is making attempt to play the anti-Armenian card having their own well-known interests.
“We probably are dealing with the attempts of the Azerbaijani military-political leadership to push aside the domestic issues by escalating the situation on the border, and in this pre-context the indifference toward lives of people, including the lives of Azerbaijani soldiers by sending them to unpromising actions becomes obvious,” Pashinyan said, adding that Azerbaijan failed to join the call of the UN Secretary General to establish global ceasefire during the pandemic.
“It appears, the more the pandemic is spread in Azerbaijan, the more the social-economic situation deteriorates there, the more the Azerbaijani military-political leadership toughens its anti-Armenia bellicose rhetoric,” Pashinyan said, stressing that provocative actions will not remain without response.
“I call to demonstrate unconditional support to the Armenian Armed Forces, soldiers, commanders who at this moment are firmly standing in the homeland’s defense positions. They must have firm back. I urge to rely on exclusively official sources,” Pashinyan said.
