Armenian side gets control of important height: former commander
The situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani border is under control, chairman of the Union of Veterans of the Karabakh War, colonel Grigor Grigoryan told Aysor.am.
Grigoryan served in the Armenian Armed Forces in Tavush border sector.
“The aggressive actions initiated by Azerbaijan show that more probably the situation will become more tense. I do not exclude such possibility,” he said.
Referring to the improvement of positions of the Armenian Armed Forces during the current military actions, Grigoryan described it as a very important factor.
“Thus, we manage to ensure 15-20 km deep visibility and hit adversary’s targets. It is very important,” he said, adding that it is not about Garadas circulated in social networks but another very important height.
Wrapping up, Grigoryan said that initiating military actions on Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the Azerbaijani authorities are trying to divert the attention of own people from numerous domestic issues.
“Azerbaijan provokes war to hide something,” he said.
