Armenia’s DM contacts Andrzej Kasprzyk, briefs the situation

Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan contacted with the personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Andrzej Kasprzyk.

The minister briefed the situation on the state border starting from 3.40 a.m., noting that the Azerbaijani side has suffered many casualties.

Tonoyan said the Armenian side makes all the encroachments of the Azerbaijani side toward the Armenian borders fail.

At around 3.40 a.m. at night the border guards of the Armenian Armed Forces noticed the movement of the enemy. Organizing perimeter defense, the Armenian military units prevented the subversive infiltration attempt of the enemy.

After hot fight the Azerbaijani side was thrown back suffering many casualties.

At approximately 5.20 a.m. the Azerbaijani units started shelling Armenian Aygepar and Movses villages, using mortars and howitzers. The shelling still continues.
