Russia’s FM meets with representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani communities in Russia
Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov met today with the representatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani communities in Russia, Russian MFA press service reports.
In particular Lavrov met with the chairman of the board of directors of Kievskaya Ploshad company God Nisanov and chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan.
The press service said in a press release that the participants of the meeting discussed the role of the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities in preservation of ethnic peace and harmony in the territory of the Russian Federation, in accordance with the country’s legislation.
The parties attached significance to the explanatory and educating works for preventing cases of violation of the rights of Russian citizens.
They also highlighted the necessity of constructive contribution of the communities to the creation of conditions for improvement of relations between Baku and Yerevan.
