Situation in Moscow during past two days calm: co-chairman of Union of Russian Armenians
The situation in Moscow during the past two days is calm with no clashes having been reported among Armenians and Azeris, co-chairman of the Union of Russian Armenians Davit Tonoyan told Aysor.am.
At the same time he informed that the young person of Armenian decent who received gun injury to his foot as a result of recent clashes has already been discharged from hospital.
As to the situation of Armenians in Food City belonging to Azerbaijani owner, he noted that as of the moment Armenian trucks do not enter the territory of the market, but the Armenian traders who have pavilions there continue working normally.
“Armenian trucks do not enter there, but according to the non-confirmed information small cars enter the territory. The leadership of Food City already made a statement aimed to exclude discriminatio,n the rest is for Armenians to decide to go there or not,” he said, adding that there is no problem with the leadership of the market.
Tonoyan said the trucks from Armenia mainly stop in Silk way (Шелковый путь) and Buchta (Бухта) markets.
“At this moment we have just one issue – we cannot contact with Armenian farmers to inform them to supply the agricultural goods to Russian provinces as well,” he said.
