We too were worried about these people: Yuri Khachaturov on March 2, 2008 developments
Court hearing of the criminal case involving Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan and other former high ranking officials continues in Yerevan court of general jurisdiction chaired by judge Anna Danibekyan.
Ex-Secretary General of the CSTO Yuri Khachaturov said that investigator Musheghyan said he had been invited as a witness and then said he was charged with overthrow of constitutional order which envisages 15 years in prison.
“For us to arrange overthrow of constitutional order I had to meet with the president while after February 23 I did not meet with Robert Kocharyan and our meeting after that took place only in the sidelines of this court hearing,” Khachaturov said.
“Words were voiced that human lives are very important and valuable, what do you think we were calmly sleeping on March 2? We too worried just like the parents of these people,” Khachaturov said.
