I have nothing to hide: Armenia’s third president on attending April committee session

The truth is the following – in April 2016 our aggressive neighbor attacked us and was defeated, Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan said at a video dedicated to the April war.

“These were the most wide-scale military operations since 1994 during which during which the adversary used almost all the weaponry it had in its arsenal. But our army quickly passed to the defense and gave such a strong blow that the enemy retreated. They suffered big losses, their plans failed and in such cases the army is worthy only to be praised and not be accused and even criticized,” the third president said.

Asked whether the April Investigative ad hoc Committee had political goals and why he decided to attend the session, Sargsyan said, “I was invited to the session of the committee and could not reject it as I have absolutely nothing to hide. Even if the concerns had room I was to go and say the whole truth and it should be registered.”
