Ban on conduction of rallies, strikes lifted during current state of emergency
Armenia’s government decided to extend the state of emergency till September 11, 5 p.m.
Armenia’s Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan said, this will be the fifth extension.
Badasyan said this time though a number of restrictions will be lifted. He said the ban of entry of foreign citizens to Armenia has been lifted. The person entering Armenia must be in self-isolation for 14 days during which coronavirus test will be conducted. If testing negative the self-isolation regime changes.
Besides, Badasyan said the ban of rallies, strikes is also lifted with the condition of compliance with epidemiological rules – wearing masks, keeping social distancing.
The ban on family events, organization of entertainment events and the restriction in the number of participants is lifted too. They will be allowed in open and closed territories with participation of maximum 40 people.
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in case of not compliance with the epidemiological rules they will have to return to restrictions.
