Annecy IAFF, ReAnimania and Saqanima Georgian Animators Association announces a call for Animated Film Project Pitching training

ReAnimania International Animation Film & Comics Art Festival of Yerevan is joining the 6th Animation Film Project Development/Pitching training organized by Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Saqanima Georgian Animators Association, providing a unique opportunity for Armenian animated filmmakers to present their project within the framework of animated film development and pitching training. The training will be held online. 

Animated filmmakers will present their projects to ReAnimania. As a result of the competition, 6 animated film projects will be selected by the experts of the Annecy festival.

A producer selected by the Annecy Festival will arrive in Tbilisi and from September 28 to October 2, 2020, will conduct a 5-day training for the authors of 6 selected projects. The training will be related to project scripting, production work, marketing, budgeting, and the acquisition of other professional knowledge.

As a result of the training, 1 best project will be selected by the experts of the Annecy Festival, which will be presented at the MIFA market of the Annecy Festival in June 2021.

The Annecy Festival will provide the winner with accreditation. ReAnimania will try to help finance the expenses of the winning participant from Armenia.

Any length animated film projects in their first concept phase that will be presented by one (or more). Only one project per author(s) can be submitted. The project presented must not be part of a school syllabus or have been pre-purchased by a TV channel. Applications can be sent via [email protected] email.

It should be noted that this is not the first such collaboration between "ReAnimania" and ANNECY, the largest international animated film festival. In 2018, Annecy and "ReAnimania" implemented the Animation du Monde program in Armenia. Within the framework of the festival, Annecy's experts arrived in Armenia to conduct 5-day masterclasses with the 10 best projects and their authors.
