Four new alcohol intoxication cases recorded in Armenia
Four new alcohol intoxication cases have been recorded in Armenia’s Armavir and Yerevan as of September 2, 11 a.m., Health Ministry spokesperson Alina Nikoghosyan reports.
One person has died.
The other patient in Heratsi N1 clinical hospital has passed away on September 1.
The total number of intoxicated from August 31 to September 2 reached 27 of which 14 died.
Nikoghosyan said that 20 out of 27 cases (with 9 deaths) were recorded in Armavir province.
The nine out of the rest cases recorded in Armavir are being treated in Armenia Republican Medical Center. The two were discharged from hospital after medical examination.
All the intoxicated used home-made vodka bought from the same person.
Seven out of 27 cases were recorded in Yerevan. The epidemiological studies showed that Yerevan cases are not connected with the ones in Armavir.
Five people died, one person is getting treatment in N1 clinical hospital and the other person in Armenia Republican Medical Center.
Some of the patients used medical alcohol as a replacement for vodka.
