Political processes to move to streets unless government initiates changes: political analyst
Today we see a parliament which, in essence, does not act and does not reflect Armenia’s political mosaic, political analyst Stepan Danielyan told Aysor.am. The expert stressed that changes are necessary in the created situation.
“These changes must be initiated by the government otherwise the political processes will move to streets,” he said, adding that if the issues are not resolved tense situation will be created with unpredictable consequences.
“There are issues which the incumbent government fails to resolve – improvement of economic situation, foreign policy issues, frozen relations with different centers and failure of fight against pandemic,” he said, adding that there are management issues in different sectors, non-professional staff.
Danielyan said if the government tries to start dialogue and finds edges for cooperation, the situation will improve.
“The time to wait for changes has expired, 2,5 years were enough to show results. As of now, these results are negative. Of course, we may state for justice that positive changes were made too but the negative is more than the positive,” he said.
