Artsakh to have improved communication and affordable tariffs: Artsakh president
President of Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan said he had addressed letters to heads of Ucom, VivaCell MTS and Veon Armenia companies inviting them to provide services in Artsakh’s communication sector, the president said at a press conference today.
“I have the negative responses of two. Ucom did not respond. When I met Hayk Yesayan, I asked him why they did not respond, he said the entry of the letter was not even ensured,” Harutyunyan said.
He noted that the new operator that will not be Armenian will not give any benefits to Artsakh.
“I was in Lebanon before my resignation [from the post of state minister] and met with the only owner of Kh-Telecom, and we worked out roadmap which will allow to have improved communication and affordable tariffs in Artsakh,” the president said.
He said tonight the new stations will start operating.
“Starting from tomorrow we will have 3G in main territory of Artsakh,” Harutyunyan said, adding that the quality and prices will correspond to the ones in Armenia.
