Georgia reports 20 new coronavirus cases in past day
Twenty new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Georgia during the past day, Georgia Today reports.
Marina Ezugbaia, the Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital said of the 20 cases, 1 is a medical staff, while the source of 4 cases is being established.
"Today, we have 20 new and 1568 confirmed cases in the country so far. Of these 20 patients, 8 are contacts of infected individuals, 1 is medical staff, 7 are imported cases, of which 4 are truck drivers, while the source of 4 cases is being established.
"Only 9 people recovered. The recovery rate is still 81.6%. 262 active patients infected with coronavirus are being treated in 'COVID Centers' throughout Georgia," she said.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Georgia reached 1568.
