Former NSS director advises to speak less about Artsakh, April war, army and Armenia’s security system
The statements of Armenia’s high-ranking officials and their remarks periodically pass the limits of perception of statehood, former NSS director, leader of Homeland party Artur Vanetsyan said in a statement published in Hraparak.am.
“I want our high-ranking officials, leaders of influential power forces to clearly know that our neighbor, fraternal and not fraternal and enemy states record all these ideas, analyze them, discuss in different services and cabinets. In this way they form ideas about the current situation in our state and its future. The uninterrupted live streams of the many months essentially damaged our state,” he said, adding that officials of different levels continue doing the same.
“It is not a topic for fun or humor, this is issue harming our national security. I hardly find words to describe the level of the risk. In other states they should not know that this or that high-ranking official, minister, lawmaker are accidentally selected and they are not treated seriously in Armenia anymore. The world outside perceive them as officials of the Republic of Armenia,” he said, adding that they do not even understand what secrets are being published, what relations are being harmed, what processes help or do not.
“As a temporary solution, until we have these authorities, I suggest speaking less about Artsakh, April war, military actions in Tavush, army, Armenia’s common security system, lobbyist activities of our Diaspora and some other topics. I repeat, it is a temporary solution,” the former NSS director said.
