97% of Armenians denied asylum in European countries: Migration Service head
Ninety-seven percent of Armenian citizens applying for asylum in Europe are being rejected, head of the Migration Service of the Territorial Administration and Development Ministry Armen Ghazaryan said at the NA’s Foreign Relations Standing Committee.
He said in the majority of the cases it has been cleared out that the citizens of Armenia are not being subjected to political persecution which becomes a basis for rejecting the applications.
As to the citizens who left their treatment in European countries unfinished, the head of the service said in many cases they are being hospitalized immediately from the airport.
