Pashinyan: Some air carriers to resume regular flights to Armenia in September
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred at the cabinet sitting today to the issues of Armenian citizens leaving for abroad to work.
“We must register the following – it is a crisis, it is an epidemiological situation and sometimes an impression is being created that such situation is only in Armenia, but it is not so,” the head of the government said, adding that the turnover among the CIS countries is closed – both to Russia and from Russia and between one another.
“If to speak generally about Russia, it has closed turnover almost with all the countries with some exclusions,” Pashinyan said.
He stressed that currently the epidemiological situation gives opportunity to discuss the issue in the sidelines of the EAEU and understand how to go out of the situation.
The prime minister said that the other important issue is the opening of passenger transportation and borders.
The head of the government said very soon, already in September certain air carriers will resume regular flights to Armenia.
“We have also made changes in the quarantine regime, according to which the citizens who arrived from abroad and do not want to spend 14 days in quarantine may undergo test in the airport. The results will be ready in a day. If negative, they are free not to pass quarantine,” Pashinyan said.
