Coronavirus ad hoc committee not to give any considerable results, says My Step faction head

With 110 for, 5 abstained and 0 against the parliament approved the decision to set ad hoc investigative committee to study the efficiency of fight against coronavirus in Armenia.

Representative of the initiative group, head of Bright Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan said the committee will have 12 members.

Head of My Step faction Lilit Makunts stated that for them the reason of creation of this committee now is unclear but added that they will not impede its creation.

“In Armenia and the whole world the coronavirus pandemic has not been overcome yet. Moreover, many scientists, doctors are trying to find out the real nature of the coronavirus to understand which are effective, protection and prevention measures that will give an opportunity to avoid the infection . Thus, we are of the opinion that the creation of such investigative committee is at least difficult to understand because it will not give any real, noticeable result. Nevertheless, My Step faction will not impede the creation of the committee and will nominate lawmakers to be engaged in it,” Makunts said.
