Arresting people not to solve country’s issues: Iveta Tonoyan on talks about Gagik Tsarukyan's arrest

Few hours after the statement of three political forces (PAP, Homeland and ARF-D) about conducting rally on October 8 the pro-governmental propaganda machine started circulating the information as if PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan will be arrested in the upcoming days, PAP lawmaker Iveta Tonoyan wrote on Facebook.

“It is really painful that the counter-arguments of the authorities to the voiced criticism are so weak and empty that every time they use their beloved method – arrest – to silence their political opponents,” she said.

“By arresting people the issues the country is facing will not be resolved, the social condition of hundreds of thousands families will not improve and the foreign debt will not be paid off, the investments will not come and new jobs will not be created,” she wrote, adding that the authorities have become predictable with their miserable behavior when even from one statement about conduction of rally they fall into shocks.

“Unbalanced and malicious behavior has already become the handwriting of these authorities,” Tonoyan wrote.
