Former CC pesident says he has tens of questions to new candidate for CC president's post
Former president of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan says he has not discussed any candidacy with any of the judges.
“I can suppose that some members discuss among themselves but I am not aware of it,” Tovmasyan told the reporters.
He also urged not to make the election of the CC president an issue of the century, noting that with his functions the CC president does not differ from any of the other CC judges.
“It is not a political election, it is not a political fight, it is just an inner, small procedure,” Tovmasyan said.
He said while voting for a candidate he will be guided with his/her professional features.
“The person must have high credit both inside and outside. Then come human features and the third one are administrative, organizational skills,” Hrayr Tovmasyan said.
He also noted that he has tens of questions to the nominated candidates on how they imagine their function.
“Naturally, I will share with my experience as well. And if I do not find the candidate who will manage to do it, I will vote against all the candidates, if I do find I will vote for him/her,” Tovmasyan said.
