Armenia’s PM offers Azerbaijan not follow path of revelation of confidential information
Azerbaijani leadership follows its old path, adding a new component to it, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today at the meeting with the Artsakh Republic NA delegation led by the speaker.
He noted that recently the Azerbaijani mass media, authorities’ circles, Azerbaijani military-political leadership added a new component to the propaganda campaign – revelation of confidential information.
“I advise our Azerbaijani partners not to follow that path, if you enter this field, if you start spreading confidential information, I am afraid the Azerbaijani domestic-political situation will become desperately instable. So, I advise that you return to constructive field and not follow the shabby path,” the PM said.
Pashinyan said he expects the Azerbaijani president to finally respond and say that yes, he agrees that the Karabakh conflict settlement must be acceptable for the peoples of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Artsakh.
The PM stressed that it will mean that there is an opportunity to register a breakthrough in the negotiation process.
“Yes, I believe that there is an opportunity to do it. Armenia stated that it is ready to be maximum constructive,” the PM said.
Yesterday PM’s former consultant Arsen Kharatyan rejected the information as if he secretly conducted negotiations with the Azerbaijani representatives on behalf of Armenia’s PM while being his consultant.
Earlier Azerbaijan’s haqqin.az reported that in July-August 2018 Arsen Kharatyan applied to Azerbaijani governmental source offering starting direct negotiations.
During the meeting with the representative of the Azerbaijani government which took place in one of the European countries, Arsen Kharatyan said that he represented Pashinyan who was interested in new format of negotiations.
He said that Armenia’s new government was ready for stage-by-stage settlement of the conflict, in particular, the first phase was “de-occupation of three regions near Karabakh, then “handing over” another two, the Azerbaijani news website wrote.
