Militias moved from Syria to Azerbaijan already engaged in military actions against Nagorno Karabakh: Armenia’s ambassador to Russia
The militias moved by Turkey from Syria are already engaged in military actions in Nagorno Karabakh, Armenia’s ambassador to Russia Vardan Toghanyan told Russian RIA Novosti.
“According to the information we have, Turkey transported about 4,000 militias from Syria to Azerbaijan. They are already participating [in the fights] from the opposite side…They are being prepared in the militias’ camps and moved there,” the ambassador said, asked whether Syria’s militias are participating in the military actions against Nagorno Karabakh.
He said the nationality of these groups is difficult to define.
In an interview to “Echo Moskvi” the ambassador stressed that according to military intelligence, the militias “appear in airports in Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan by chartered flights.”
He said he is speaking about militias “from territories of northern Syria occupied by Turkey.”
