Two women and a man victims of aerial attack of Azerbaijani forces in Martakert

On September 30 Artsakh Republic Human Rights Defender received information that on the same day three civilians – two women and a man – were killed and one person was wounded as a result of air strikes of Azerbaijan’s armed forces. The identities of the victims are being clarified.

Artsakh Ombudsman expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims and condemned continued targeting of civilian population and structures by Azerbaijan.

The Ombudsman stressed that Azerbaijan strongly violates the norms of humanitarian right by indiscriminately and purposefully opening fire in the direction of civilian settlements.

The Human Rights Defender called the international community and human rights organizations to give corresponding assessment to the actions of Azerbaijani armed forces and apply their whole toolkit to prevent the wide-scale and brutal violation of rights of the people of Artsakh Republic.
