Russia reaffirms readiness to host trilateral meeting of FMs in Moscow
Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov had separate phone conversations with the Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan on September 30.
During the conversations the developments in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone were discussed. The Russian side expressed serious concern over the continuing military actions and called for immediatly ceasing the fire, easing the tension and preventing provoking and bellicose rhetoric.
Necessity of returning the sides to the table of negotiations has been stressed.
Sergey Lavrov noted that Russia will continue exerting efforts both on its own and with joint efforts with other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group for political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict.
Readiness to organize the corresponding contacts in Moscow, including conduction of regular meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia has been reaffirmed.
