Russian, Turkish FMs speak for immediate cessation of hostilities in Karabakh
Russian and Turkish foreign ministers Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu had a phone conversation today.
During it the ministers of the two countries thoroughly discussed the escalation of the situation over Nagorno Karabakh.
The ministers expressed serious concern over the continuing military confrontation, spoke for immediate cessation of hostilities.
The parties emphasized the inadmissibility of engagement of militias from illegal armed groups of other regions in the conflict.
The demand for extremely weighted steps regarding political-diplomatic assistance to Baku and Yerevan has been stressed.
Readiness to dense coordination of Russia and Turkey’s actions for the stabilization of the situation for bringing the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict back to peaceful pace has been stressed.
The Russian side draw the attention to the efforts undertaken by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, including the joint statement of Presidents of Russia, the USA and France on October 1, 2020.
