Armenian side destroys Azerbaijan’s 113 UAVs, 250 units of armored vehicles: MOD representative

Very severe military actions continued today in north and particularly in south, representative of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said at a briefing today.

“The enemy tried to break through the front line. After heavy fights the Armenian side managed to stop the advance of the enemy inflicting it big losses,” he said.

Hovhannisyan said that the intense fights continued for 6-7 hours.

“During this time the enemy lost over 2,300 manpower, only today at about 440-450 servicemen or not servicemen, it is clear who I mean – the terrorists. Other 800, 900 were wounded,” MOD representative said.

He said only today the Armenian side managed to destroy about 45 armored vehicles in fight.

“Today our troops also succeeded in destroying over 80-90 armored vehicles not engaged in fights with large range fire which must be considered an unprecedented success,” he said.

Hovhannisyan also noted that only today the Armenian forces hit enemy’s 10 UAVs, overall the number of downed UAVs reached 113.

The MOD representative said that the total loss of the armored vehicles of the enemy makes 250 units.

“Only today three Smerch systems were hit, three warplanes and one helicopter were downed. As of the moment heavy fights are waging in northern and southern directions,” he said.
