Azerbaijan’s statements aimed at laying responsibility for violating ceasefire on the Armenian side: MOD spokesperson

Statements of Azerbaijani leadership as if Armenian Armed Forces allegedly attempted offensives in the directions of Hadrut and Jebrail firing at the sanitary car with white flag that arrived to collect the bodies are unfounded and aimed at laying the responsibility of not keeping ceasefire regime on the Armenian side.

This was stated by spokesperson of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan.

“The October 10 statement of the foreign ministers clearly says that the exchange of prisoners of war and bodies of killed between Artsakh and Azerbaijan must be carried out with the meditation of International Committee of Red Cross, in accordance with their criteria which currently does not take place due to continuous hostilities by the Azerbaijani armed forces,” she said.

“We view the accusations of the Azerbaijani side as simple provocation and invite the attention of interested parties on this fact,” she said.
