Thousands of demonstrators marched through Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, on Sunday, to show support for Armenia in the wake of the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Around 35,000 protesters, according to LA police, went from the Pan Pacific Park to the Turkish Consulate waving flags and showing signs against Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles, Armen Baibourtian, accused Turkey of participating directly in the conflict: "They commit war crimes. Turkey directly participates in this aggression, Turkey brought jihadi terrorists from the Middle East to fight against Armenians."
Los Angeles County is reportedly home to the largest population of Armenian immigrants in the US.
Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday, and plan to start negotiations over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. Both sides have accused each other of breaking the truce and shelling civilian cities over the weekend.
