Azerbaijan’s inevitable tendency to turn into terrorist center is a threat for the CSTO responsibility zone: Armenia’s FM to CSTO Secretary General
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a phone conversation with the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas.
During the conversation the parties referred to the situation created as a result of Azerbaijani large scale aggression in Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.
Armenia’s FM reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to truce and implementation of the October 10 statement of Armenian, Azerbaijan and Russian FMs for its reinforcement, at the same time expressing deep concern over failure of the Azerbaijani side to implement own commitments and targeting peaceful civilians in the whole territory of Artsakh.
Mnatsakanyan said Azerbaijan’s aggressive actions are accompanied with numerous violations of international humanitarian norms and right of traditions once again emphasizing the priority of ensuring the existential security of the people of Artsakh in their historic homeland by the implementation and recognition of their right to live free and safe.
The minister particularly stressed the inadmissibility of provocative encroachments of the Azerbaijani armed forces against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Mnatsakanyan also expressed deep concern over Turkey’s expansionist policy of unconditional support to Azerbaijan through deployment of international armed terrorists in the conflict zone, stressing that Azerbaijan’s inevitable tendency to turn into terrorist center is a threat for the CSTO responsibility zone.
Armenia’s FM said Armenia’s political leadership is always evaluating the military situation and the steps stemming from them, considering the opportunity of initiating CSTO regulatory processes.
