Russia’s FM calls for stopping bellicose rhetoric and cessation of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh
There is a need to end the bellicose rhetoric and hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference with Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejcinovic Buric.
He said that he presented Russia’s vision of the situation in Karabakh to partners from the Council of Europe and what steps his country takes in that direction.
“We are convinced that the most significant here, which though, does not demand big efforts, is to immediately stop escalating the rhetoric by both the conflicting parties and other responsible international players. It does not demand big efforts. The next absolute important step is cessation of hostilities and strikes against civilian targets in parallel with the ending of war rhetoric,” the minister said.
