OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs work not only on declaration of ceasefire but its implementation: Armenia’s deputy FM
Armenia’s deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan speaking to reporters today said that Russia and France are the most active from the three OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries.
He said after Russia’s attempt to help establish the ceasefire, France was the second to push it forward.
“Now the joining of the U.S. side is important. In this case the three co-chairs have one issue on the agenda – not only ensure declaring ceasefire but also implementing it,” he said, adding that it is unacceptable to declare ceasefire at certain hour and not observe it.
Shavarsh Kocharyan said at the current phase the three co-chairs have one mandate and this mandate is reaching a consent.
The second mandate, he said is to prevent the resumption of hostilities.
