Armenia’s deputy FM hopes there will be no need to apply to CSTO
Armenia must first of all apply to UN in case of aggression against it to fix the fact of aggression, Armenia’s deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told the reporters today, adding that then the country will apply to the CSTO.
He said everything is regulated.
Asked why Armenia does not apply to the CSTO, the deputy FM said that it is too early to assess the border shooting as aggression.
“Not applying to the CSTO formally does not mean not working with the CSTO. There is an exchange of information on the level of the leaders. We are in permanent contact, but I hope there will be no need to apply to the CSTO,” Shavarsh Kocharyan said.
