Defense Army repelled enemy’s advance attempts, did not allow moving forward even for a millimeter: MOD representative

Military actions continued today in all directions, Armenia’s Ministry of Defense representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan said at a briefing today. He said fierce battles were waged in central direction too.

Hovhannisyan said in the south the enemy attempted few offences but was thrown back with losses.

“Few sabotage groups tried to penetrate and advance in the central direction but fled after accurate artillery fire,” the representative said.

He added that in southern direction the enemy’s groups were mainly without armored vehicles.

“In few separate hearths our armed forces repelled all the advance attempts. They have not moved forward even for a millimeter,” Hovhannisyan said, adding that neither did the enemy use much air force though the Armenian forces shot down one warplane today.

The representative said that the fights continue but were not as fierce as during the previous days.
