Till now enemy attempts sabotage group penetrations to settlements: MOD representative

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan speaking at a briefing today stressed that the offences continued today along the entire length of the line of contact.

He said it was active both in north, in central and southern directions as well.

“In the central direction the hostilities were held in the direction of settlements. The local battles which represent penetrations of different sabotage groups to settlements and core road sectors continue till now,” Hovhannisyan said.

The Defense Ministry representative said the adversary tried to ensure advance to west, north and north-west.

“All the attempts though were repelled. In some places they were pushed back with many losses, including losses of armored vehicles,” he said.

He said the battles are mainly held with artillery means and less with the usage of infantry. In some sectors the enemy used air attack means, in particular “classic tactical air force”.
