We need to reduce coronavirus numbers, doctors are more needed on front: Health Ministry representative
An unprecedented growth of coronavirus cases is being recorded during the recent days, Lusine Paronyan, doctor-epidemiologist, Ministry of Health representative, said at a briefing today.
She stressed that almost 500 more cases are being recorded as compared with the past day.
“The healthcare system may appear in collapse, and we will not have place for hospitalization of severe patients. We are re-profiling new hospitals. Today we have almost 2,000 patients in hospitals, but there are many cases when we need to hospitalize people and are waiting for places to be freed,” Paronyan said.
She said the situation with coronavirus has become secondary in conditions of war.
“We appeared in this situation due to our behavior, But the doctors need more to be in front and we must do everything to reduce the numbers. I urge not to forget about it and comply with rules,” the healthcare ministry’s representative said.
