Chief of Staff of the NSS Border Troops dismissed

The circulating hypotheses about the removal of NSS ex-director Argishti Kyaramyan from the post does not correspond to reality, deputy director of NSS Armen Abazyan told the reporters today, in response to reports about filed criminal case on treason. Another circulated reason is failure to coordinate the military actions of the border troops.

“The right to dismiss NSS director is trusted to the country’s leadership. There is nothing more I can say. I cannot provide other information. Definitely, there is no criminal case,” Abazyan said.

Asked whether the Chief of Staff of the NSS Border Troops Gagik Tevosyan has been dismissed from position, the NSS deputy director said “Yes.”

It has been reported earlier that Commander of NSS Border Troops Vaghinak Sargsyan was dismissed from post and replaced by Arman Maralchyan.
