Shoygu says ensuring security of Union state priority for Russia’s MOD
The situation on the border of Union state with the NATO member states remains turbulent, Russia's Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu stated at the joint session of militaries of Russia and Belarus, adding that ensuring security is priority of Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
“In the conditions of created military-political situation in the region, as well as new challenges and threats first of all coming from the international terrorism, Russia’s Ministry of Defense views ensuring military security in the Union state among its key priorities,” Shoygu said.
He stressed that NATO improves its military infrastructures, stores material-technical means, arms and military equipment near the borders of Union state.
