Azerbaijan will be held accountable for violations of the norms of the European Convention on Human Rights: Armenia's representative to ECHR
The government of Armenia has submitted new evidence to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) substantiating the failure of the Azerbaijani government to comply with the ECHR decision on September 29 on the implementation of an immediate interim measure in accordance with Rule 39 of the ECHR, the office of Armenia’s representative to ECHR reports.
The Armenian government has informed the ECHR that Azerbaijan had not complied with the agreement reached in Geneva on October 30, and that the Azerbaijani armed forces had used cluster and incendiary weapons against civilians and civilian settlements in Artsakh.
The government of Armenia provided the ECHR photo and video evidence on the shelling of Artsakh’s Martuni, Martakert, Shushi, Mataghis, Askeran, and the capital Stepanakert.
Moreover, credible evidence was submitted on Azerbaijan’s engagement of Syrian mercenaries and their participation in the ongoing hostilities.
Azerbaijan will be held accountable for violations of the norms of the European Convention on Human Rights.
