Night in Shushi rather heated, Azeri forces intensively targeted civilians and civilian facilities: Artsakh Ombudsman

The night in Shushi was rather heated with Azerbaijani forces intensively targeting civilian facilities. Wounded and damages to the city are reported, Artsakh Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan told the reporters today.

“The details are being clarified. Martuni town was also targeted, damages are reported, luckily no casualties and wounded have been reported. A number of rural settlements have been targeted too,” he said.

Artak Beglaryan reminded that two civilians have been wounded after Stepanakert’s shelling.

“Azerbaijan continues deliberately targeting civilians and civilian facilities, does not comply with international agreements. Yesterday they targeted Shushi, Martuni and other settlements, including with cluster munitions, internationally banned weapon especially near civilian settlements,” the ombudsman said.
