Our artillery, infantry and other subdivisions performed miracles, "Gyorbagyor" operation continues: Artsrun Hovhannisyan

The fights near Shushi do not stop for over two days, Armenia’s Ministry of Defense representative Artrsun Hovhannisyan told the reporters today.

“Today and yesterday, during the past night rather intensive and hard battles were taking place in the settlements around Shushi, on a road taking to Shushi, near Shushi. If May 8, 1992 is celebrated in the Armenian history as Shushi liberation day, these  passing days will enter the Armenian history as brilliant days of defense of Shushi,” Hovhannisyan said.

He stressed that the “Gyorbagyor” military operation of elimination of enemy’s reconnaissance-subversive separate tactical groups, mercenaries continues.

“Today our artillery, infantry, other subdivisions performed miracles. Tens if not hundreds of bodies of the enemy’s troops, mercenaries and other tailings remained in the gorges of the roads taking to Shushi,” he said.

He said currently the battles continue but their intensity has noticeably weakened.
