Azerbaijani side managed to penetrate into main territory of Artsakh in some direction: Defense Army rep

During the past 3-4 days the enemy focused the main efforts in Shushi, Karabakh Defense Army representative Suren Sarumyan said at a briefing today.

“Fierce battles were waged, the Defense Army subdivisions resolutely defended and continue defending Shushi,” he said, adding that two Azeri servicemen have been captured.

He said that the enemy launched attacks in other sectors of the frontline too.

“Our subdivisions took favorable positions in some directions. During the day Karabakh forces managed to destroy one tank, 4 vehicles and 8 drones of the enemy, in south-western direction the army subdivisions took a tank and artillery means,” Sarumyan said.

He also stressed that the fights in Shushi directions continue.

Sarumyan added that the Azeri side managed to penetrate into main territory of Artsakh.

“The actions in Artsakh territory will not be forgiven,” he stressed.
