Decision made as a result of serious analysis: Armenia’s DM

The Armenian government, Diaspora did everything for reaching success, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan said in an interview to Public TV.

“The Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense and Chief Headquarters of the Armed Forces presented the operative situation, and the decision was made as a result of serious analysis,” Tonoyan said.

He said the developments over Shushi were very dynamic.

“For instance, there were cases when our spokesperson or representative was presenting a situation but it was changing during it. The city was occupied, blockaded, but the heroic battles continued. After a while we had a privilege,” Tonoyan said.

“The impossible was done to keep the rear. The mobilization resource did the maximum. We were acting in total blockade of ammunition,” the minister said.

Asked why the public was not presented the real situation the minister stressed that they always presented the right situation, right information, periodically giving information for confusing the enemy.

“I do not admit that we were confusing our society,” he said.
