We appeared in situation when there was no alternative: Armenia’s PM on his decision
We appeared in a situation when there was simply no alternative, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said live on Facebook.
He said the agreement on ceasefire was not reached earlier as Armenia could not hand over the seven territories as all believed that Armenia would manage to impose ceasefire which thought did not take place. “We could not have though that handing territories is the right way to reach ceasefire,” Pashinyan stated.
Earlier in 2019 speaking to reporters, Armenia’s PM stated that he started negotiations over Karabakh conflict settlement from his own point.
“We are not planning to start military actions against anyone but if anyone starts military actions against us, we will impose peace,” the PM said at the NA.
Pashinyan also said that he did not launch the negotiations from the point where Serzh Sargsyan stopped, but from his own, “it is an important nuance.”
