If war continued we would have lost the whole Artsakh and had more losses – Arayik Harutyunyan
On November 7 the Armenian side lost control of Shushi, Artsakh president Arayik Harutyunyan said live on Facebook.
“I had the hardest night of my life. I do not know what assessment the history will give to yesterday’s decision, but we had to do it due to military situation. We have lost Fizuli, Jabrail, Kubatlu, Zangelan, Hadrut region, part from Martuni, part from Askeran, and the most important – Shushi.
The fights were continuing 2-3 kilometers from Stepanakert. In case of such tempo we would have lost the whole Artsakh and had more victims,” Harutyunyan said.
Artsakh president also mentioned about the dangers of blockade.
“Only yesterday in Martuni, in the past few hours we had very big losses and all from drones. Why we did not succeed, we will all answer for it, as we knew the existence of the issue,” he said.
